Project Description

Sunsmart Engineering, in collaboration with Aucon Consulting Engineers, Solar MD, and Valley Electrical Contractors, successfully executed a state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Solar PV installation for DigiOutsource. The system features 758 Trina 435W PV modules, a 20-foot Solar MD containerized lithium-ion battery 3 x Sungrow grid-tied inverters, and 2 x Sungrow 1.2MVA battery inverters with the system integration and control being done by the Solar MD Logger V2 plant controller.

Sunsmart Engineering was tasked with a comprehensive scope of work that included:

• Project Costing: Detailed project costing to ensure project feasibility and all bill of materials.
• Detailed Design: Custom engineering designs and drawings tailored to the client’s specific needs, ensuring optimal system performance, operation, and integration.
• Project Engineering: Oversight of all technical aspects, from conceptualization to execution, guaranteeing the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
• Commissioning: Systematic testing and validation of the solar PV, battery, and power conversion systems to ensure full functionality and compliance with industry standards.
• Handover Documentation: Preparation of detailed documentation to facilitate smooth transition and operation by the client, including maintenance guidelines and operational manuals.
